About me
Who am I?
Born in Latvia in 1989, on a blooming spring day in May, just as the sun was rising.
My name means bright light — and it’s no surprise I’ve always been drawn to what’s real, quiet, and alive beneath the surface.
I’ve never lived comfortably inside labels, though a few have followed me anyway: dreamer, hitchhiker, sea-lover, veggie girl — and photographer.
Photography didn’t enter my life by accident.
Before it was a profession, it was a form of art therapy. A way to communicate without explaining. A way to process emotions, notice details, and translate inner worlds into something visible.
I sometimes joke that I got too lazy to paint — so I started photographing instead.
That’s only half a joke.
To me, every person I photograph is a piece of art — not to be posed or perfected, but seen, gently and honestly.

People photography is what sits closest to my heart — especially life events where emotions naturally unfold.
I’m socially introverted: I observe first, listen closely, and move quietly. I tend to stay behind the camera, noticing the moments that often go unseen — small gestures, glances, pauses in between.
When I photograph weddings or family gatherings, I blend into the crowd rather than stand apart from it. Quite often, family and friends assume I’m a close friend of the couple — not a stranger with a camera. That sense of ease is what allows people to relax, forget about being photographed, and simply be themselves.
I communicate easily with you and your guests, creating a calm, natural atmosphere around the camera — without forcing moments or interrupting them.
Sometimes, I stay behind the lens not only to observe, but also to feel.
Because when people open up, it’s impossible not to be moved.
